RUST REPAIR & PREVENT

ALWAYS WEAR PPE - P2 dust mask, protective eyewear  are a MUST

PREPARE THE SURFACE

  • Start by removing as much rust as possible - using sandpaper, wire brush or a grinder.
  • Clean the surface with Wax & Grease remover using the 2 cloth - wipe on with 1 rag and wipe off with a new clean rag.
  • Start masking off the surrounding area to prevent any overspray

APPLICATION

  • Using Concept RUST CONVERTER PRIMER & SEALER aerosol can (shake can vigorously for 1min after the ball begins to rattle before use)
  • Spray in steady back-and-forth motion approximately 25 to 40cm from the surface, slightly overlapping each stroke. Apply 3 coats allowing 1min of drying time between each coat.
  • For maximum adhesion and faster curing apply several light coats rather then 1 heavy coat

DRYING TIMES

  • The surface should be touch dry in 30min and can be painted over in 3hrs - 24hrs if you are using 2k paint.
  • Make sure surface has been cleaned thoroughly with Wax and Grease remover prior to painting
  • Coating is not suitable for sanding - if a smoother surface is required, you will need to apply a sandable primer which is suitable with the top coat
